On Tuesday June 8th, 2010, the National
Council on Aging (NCOA) co-sponsors a Town Hall meeting on Health Reform with
President Barack Obama and also features Health and Human Services Secretary
Kathleen Sebelius. The town hall meeting set-up is interactive and televised
via satellite at locations across the country; many of the host locations are
senior centers. The televised broad cast will take place tomorrow, June
8th, from 10:15-11:45am (CST), and will air on C-SPAN. It will also
be streamed live at: www.whitehouse.gov and www.healthcarereform.gov.
NCOA is actively involved in educating seniors about how
health care reform affects them through their campaign, Straight
Talk for Seniors on Health Reform.
The White House has also been involved with senior
education regarding health reform, with documents like “The
Affordable Care Act Gives America’s Seniors Greater Control Over Their Own
Health Care.”
